I traveled with my girlfriend, Alondra, to Zion National Park and here are some of my favorite pictures I took on the visit.
I wanted to capture the glowing vivid orange cliffs from Zion National Park’s sunsets and what a beauty it was. So on the way out from the park, we stopped at a ice cream shop. I got my signature vanilla ice cream in a cone and took in the view that you see above. I centered the frame to encapsulate the largest cliff so that the contrast between the sky and the orange cliff would be emphasized.
The Narrows is considered to be one of the best hikes in the United States. And boy did it live up to the hype. You are literally hiking on a semi-dry river between two one thousand foot cliffs. And because of this, my image would emphasize the sheer scale of the canyons/cliffs which is illustrated through the small people you can see at the bottom. I really liked how the colors came out in the photo with regards to the contrast between the orange cliffs and the green vegetation that sit in the cracks of the rock.
Mountain goat wanted a little photoshoot. When taking the Zion Scenic drive we stumbled upon this little guy. I have never seen a mountain goat before so I was really excited to capture this one. He was just chilling on the side of the road posing at all the cars as they passed by.
Felt like I was in the movie Cars after taking in this beautiful sight. I wanted the road to be the center of attention because it extends into the cliffs in the background. I really tried for the viewer to have a desire to take a car and just drive on this road and see where it extends to. Channel their adventurist side.
